We met in a bar in Maine. He was fascinated by her, and she seemed to tolerate him. Fast forward 33 years and here we are.
We've always been an adventurous couple, never taking the normal path. We tend to choose the exciting and interesting over the easy. We have dabbled in art, yoga, auto racing, and tournament poker. We try not to be boring........life is too short for that.
We have traveled the U.S. extensively, bits and pieces of the western hemisphere, and in the past 6 years have started traveling to Europe. At present we have 5 Europe trips under our belt and we are presently planning number 6! At some point we're going to branch out into Asia and South America.
We have been married for 31 years and have two grown children and one grandchild. We have lived in New England, central and coastal North Carolina, and for the past 12 years in rural Tennessee. We live on 23 acres in a mountain valley. We raise vegetables, cats, and too much grass that has to be mowed.
Laurie spent most of her career as an Occupational Therapist working with special needs children. She is now a yoga instructor. Bill has spent his entire career in the construction industry. He now manages large construction projects for a University. And we travel as much as we can.
