Hi! We're Bill and Laurie!
We met in a bar in Maine. He was fascinated by her, and she seemed to tolerate him. Fast forward 40 years and here we are.
We've always been an adventurous couple, never taking the normal path. We tend to choose the exciting and interesting over the easy. We have dabbled in art, yoga, auto racing, and tournament poker. We try not to be boring........life is too short for that. We have traveled the U.S. extensively, bits and pieces of the western hemisphere, and in 2012 we started traveling to Europe. At present we have 10 Europe trips under our belt, and looking forward to number 11. We have been married for 38 years and have two grown children and one grandchild. We have lived in New England, central and coastal North Carolina, and for the past 18 years in Tennessee. We had a farm for 14 years but have downsized and live closer to town on a smaller place. Laurie spent most of her career as an Occupational Therapist working with special needs children. She is now a yoga instructor. Bill has spent his entire career in the construction industry. He now manages large construction projects for a fantastic design/build company. And we travel as much as we can. |
