Twelve distanced
days of Christmas
2020

On the ninth day of Christmas

27 December, 2020

A simple day today.  Nothing new and nothing major to report.  The weather is the best we've had in days, and while it was in the high 40's there was zero wind.  I didn't even put on a jacket on the beach today!  We caught one blue so small we didn't know he was on until we hauled gear.  The ocean was flat as a table and the sound looked like a lake.

Fishing was kinda sad today.  We have higher hopes for tomorrow.  We had no events worthy of mentioning...so we'll let the photos do the talking.  I plan on hammering the fish tomorrow with a high in the upper 50's  with just a little more wind.

Everyone stay safe and stay well.

A gorgeous blue sky day with zero wind.

Typical distancing.  It's like this when there isn't a pandemic.  That's one of the reasons we like the Outer Banks.

While the fishing wasn't great, you don't get many December days like this.  It was just gorgeous.  Add a little wind and 8 degress tomorrow.

The ocean was flat as a table today.  Shore break was maybe 2 feet.

Looking north.  Fishing was not productive today.

This was nearly underwater Christmas eve.  Today, birds are roosting on it.  Things change quickly.

A cool photo Laurie took.  There is like a haze off the water, mixed with a blue sky, and water so flat it didn't look real.
Picture
Haze, shallow water ,no wind.  This makes a photo that doesn't really seem real.  But it is.
